Ah, hometown paper.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

They got a lot wrong. I had these attorneys thrown off of at least 3 cases, including his original case, because they were illegally using federal Legal Aid funds to represent und ocumented immigrants. They pulled strings to get him a visa so they could sue me to stop me from getting them disqualified on farmworker cases. Attorney disqualification is a valid litigation strategy, and they did not want me using it against them any more.

Unfortunately there are people you report what they want to report, report what people want to hear and sensationalise things to sell papers or get clicks.

It’s easy to make a lawyer you want to look bad because people are so easy to believe it even though so many of us need legal help from time to time through our lives.

Can you get them to retract it, amend it with corrections, etc...

Is this an accurate reporting of your client’s and (in pertinent part) your actions?

1. Employ undocumented workers

2. When those workers allege they have been illegally underpaid, try to get them deported

3. Get the lawyers representing the workers disqualified

4. Profit!

I tend to agree with you that no. 3 is a valid tactic, but I don’t agree  that no. 2 is... and I can certainly see why that one is the headline.

We’re all the villian in someone’s story.  What’s not clear to me, though, is who exactly is writing that 7 figure check to Mr. Arias and, presumably, his legal counsel?
